Air filters exist in every Volkswagen model. There are two. One that filters air entering your car's engine, and the other that filters air into your cabin.

Air filters are made of pleated paper, cloth, and spun fiberglass materials. Their purpose is to capture any debris or dirt harmful particles that can damage your car engine and or AC system. This keeps the flow of air running smoothly and sufficiently throughout your daily commute.

Like the other filters in your vehicle, over time they can become clogged with dirt particles and debris. Once this occurs, the flow of air is restricted and you could experience foul odors in the cabin, a loss of fuel mileage and horsepower, as well decreased engine reliability.
